KAPNAYAN 2012 Poster Making Contest
Rules and Regulations
I. QUALIFICATIONS
Students from all high schools nationwide are qualified to join. Only one participant per school is allowed to join for each event. The school should have a different participant for each contest.

II. APPLICATION
Submit duly accomplished forms on or before October 30, 2012 to our website uplbchemsoc.wix.com/kapnayan-2012 or to the office of the UPLB Chemical Society Office, Institute of Chemistry, Physical Sciences Building, University of the Philippines Los Baños, College, Laguna 4031. Walk-in participants for these contests will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis. Limited slots will be allowed for the walk-in participants.

III. REGISTRATION
Registration will start at 7:00 am on November 12, 2012 at the Physical Sciences lobby. Each team shall pay registration fee of Php 200.00 to cover the expenses of the students’ paraphernalia. Accommodation (i.e. food, housing and other provisions) is NOT included in the registration fee. If the number of participants exceeds five, an additional Php 100.00 will be charged per head.

IV. MECHANICS

Poster Making November 14, 2012 1:00-4:00pm To be announced
1. Only one (1) contestant from each participating school will be allowed to join.
2. The participants should bring proper identification materials(i.e. school ID and quiz registration form)
3. The participant should be present ten minutes before the event. Otherwise, s/he will be automatically disqualified.
4. The materials below will be used in the contest.
a. ¼ illustration board and (1) Mongol no.2 pencil (to be provided by the Society)
b. Coloring material; oil pastel and marker (to be provided by the participants)
5. The use of other materials specified above is strictly prohibited. Participants caught using such materials will be disqualified.
6. Name of the participant as well as the school must not be written on any part of the contest piece. Otherwise, he/she will be disqualified.
7. The posters will be judged according to the content, originality, creativity and relevance to the theme.
8. Criteria for judging will be announced before the contest starts.
9. The top three posters will be chosen. Winners will be awarded with medals and certificates. All participants will be awarded certificates of participation.
10. All posters will be displayed for the whole duration of the show.
11. All posters will automatically become official property of the Society.

V. MISCELLANEOUS
​
A. The awarding ceremony for the contests will be on November 15, 2012 at Baker Hall, UPLB after the Chemical Magic Show.
B. The Quiz Committee reserves the right to make any revision of these rules. Proper notification to concerned parties however shall be made in such case.
